| SUBJECT: Adoption of the Implementation Schedule for District PM2.5 and PM10 Control Measures
The Board of Directors of the Sacramento Metropolitan Air Quality Management District (District) will conduct a public hearing to consider the adoption of the implementation schedule for District PM2.5 and PM10 control measures, as required by Section 39614 of the California Health and Safety Code (SB 656). Background State law (SB 656) requires the Sacramento Air Quality Management District to adopt, by July 31, 2005, a schedule to implement appropriate control measures to reduce particulate matter (PM) pollution. The law also requires the District to first conduct a public workshop to solicit input on its selection and prioritization of PM control measures. A public workshop was held on June 6, 2005, and comments received at the workshop have been considered in the proposed implementation schedule. District staff has analyzed a list of potential measures that was adopted by the California Air Resources Board on November 19, 2004. In addition to measures that the District has already adopted or is already committed to, staff is proposing the following measures as the most cost-effective and feasible for implementation in Sacramento County:

By this notice, all interested parties are specifically requested to testify on the proposed implementation schedule for District PM2.5 and PM10 control measures.
