COVID-19

General Information

 While the COVID-19 situation continues to evolve, the Sac Metro Air District will continue to provide essential services, including permit processing, responding to public complaints, the asbestos program, and air quality monitoring. 

The District is committed to protecting the health and well-being of its employees and the public it serves.  To that end, the District is remaining open for business, but the office will be closed to the public until further notice. Those needing to conduct business with the District can still do so by telephone, online, by email and by regular mail, or by dropping off documents on the 3rd floor at the District office located at 777 12th Street, Sacramento.  Business hours are currently Monday - Friday from 9:00am to 4:00pm (closed for lunch from 12:00pm to 12:30pm).

Permit Applications & Fees

Permit applications can be submitted electronically, by mail or by dropping documents at the District's main office. Fee payments can be made by credit/debit card by selecting the “payments” link on the home page of the District’s website or by mailing a check.

    • Electronic submission:  frontoffice@airquality.org

    • Mail or Drop-off:  777 12th Street, 3rd Floor, Sacramento, CA 95814 - document depository available outside Suite 300.

Asbestos Notifications

The District continues to process asbestos notifications and review projects.  All asbestos forms may be submitted via email:  asbestos@airquality.org
