The Sac Metro Air District had over $ 22 million in mobile source incentive funding to improve air quality in Sacramento. The solicitation period opened on November 1, 2022, and closed on June 30, 2023. A total of 120 applications were received totaling over $70 million in requests. Projects were selected according to the procedure set in the solicitation manual. The final selection of projects submitted by individuals, community organizations, big and small businesses, and government agencies fully allocated the available $22 million for this solicitation. Awarded projects included zero-emission heavy-duty vehicle replacements, school bus replacements, farm equipment replacements, low-carbon infrastructure installations, and other innovative projects. The list of proposed awards and additional information about the grant solicitation can be accessed below.
