The EPA Fire & Smoke Map displays the most current and comprehensive information on wildfires, smoke and air quality. You'll see air quality readings  from both regulatory air monitoring stations and the most accurate readings from crowd-sourced, portable air quality sensors. The map can be viewed in both English and Spanish by clicking on the globe icon on the top right of the map.

Current Conditions

Currently, Sacramento County is experiencing smoke impacts from fires in southwestern Oregon and Northern California. Smoke impacts are expected from Wednesday, September 20 through Saturday, September 23, resulting in AQIs that are "Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups." Children, pregnant women, older adults, and those with certain medical conditions are especially vulnerable. If you see or smell smoke, go indoors and keep the doors and windows closed.
