Best Available Control Technology (BACT)

​The Best Available Control Technology (BACT) clearinghouse reflects the latest BACT determinations made for a particular source category by the Sac Metro Air District. This list serves as guidance and reflects the minimum emission rate/control technology that will be required as BACT. Determinations older than 2 years are considered expired and will be re-evaluated and may result in more stringent requirements.

​Public Review Process

​Prior to the adoption of BACT standards, the determination will undergo a 30-day public review period. During this time, members of the public or industry can submit comments to the Sac Metro Air District regarding the proposed standards and associated determination. The District will address all comments submitted during this 30-day notice period before adoption of the standards.​​​​
