2025 Grant Solicitation Awards
Summary
The Sac Metro Air District has over $13 million in mobile source incentive funding for clean air quality projects in Sacramento County. This funding will be made available through the 2025 Community Air Quality Grant Solicitation.
The application period for On-Road, Infrastructure, and Community Greening projects starts on May 1, 2025, and closes on June 16, 2025. Eligible projects include zero-emission heavy-duty trucks and buses, EV charging stations, hydrogen refueling stations, vegetative barriers, and other innovative projects.
The application period for Off-Road projects will start on June 2, 2025. Eligible projects include farm tractors, electric forklifts, electric utility terrain vehicles, and other clean technology.
Each project category has a specific selection or ranking process. Please refer to the 2025 Community Funding Plan for more information on the project selection process.
Awarded applicants will enter into a funding agreement with the Sac Metro Air District. Funding of projects is contingent on program-specific requirements. If the award cannot be negotiated and executed promptly, staff may move funding to other projects. Most agreements have a term of 3-10 years with annual reporting requirements and penalties for non-compliance. Projects not selected for funding may remain on the pending list for future funding opportunities.
